RAM JAPO JI AISE AISE

Raam Japo Jeea Aisae Aisae; Dharoo Prehilaadh Japiou Har Jaisae
Just as Dhroo and Prahlaad meditated on the Lord, so should you meditate on the Lord, O my soul.

Dheen Dhaeiaal Bharosae Thaerae; Sabh Paravaar Charraaeiaa Baerrae
O Lord, Merciful to the meek, I have placed my faith in You; along with all my family, I have come aboard Your boat.

Jaa Tis Bhaavai Thaa Hukam Manaavai; Eis Baerrae Ko Paar Laghaavai
When it is pleasing to Him, then He inspires us to obey the Hukam of His Command. He causes this boat to cross over.

Gur Parasaadh Aisee Budh Samaanee; Chook Gaya Fir Aavan Jaanee
By Guru's Grace, such understanding is infused into me; my comings and goings in reincarnation have ended.

Kahu Kabeer Bhaj Saarigapaanee; Ouravaar Paar Sabh Aaeko Dhaanee
Says Kabeer, meditate, vibrate upon the Lord, the Sustainer of the earth; In this world, in the world beyond and everywhere, He alone is the Giver.

Dhan Dhan Ramdas Guru Jin Siri-aa Tinai Savaari-aa

Dhan dhan raam daas gur jin siri-aa tinai savaari-aa
Blessed, blessed is Guru Ram Das; the One who created You has also exalted You.

Pooree hoee karaamaat aap sirajanhaarai dhaari-aa
Perfect is Your miracle; the Creator has installed You on a throne.

Sikhee atai sangatee paarbrahm kar namasakaari-aa
Sikhs as well as all Conscious people recognize You because you manifest the Creator.

Atal athaa-o atol too tayraa ant na paaraavaari-aa
You are unchanging, unfathomable and immeasurable; You have no end or limitation.

Jinee too sayvi-aa bhaa-o kar say tudh paar utaari-aa
You are unchanging, unfathomable and immeasurable; Those who serve You with love are carried across the sea of existence.

Lab lobh kaam krodh mo maar kadhay tudh saparvaari-aa
The five obstacles of lust, anger, greed, pride and attachment; You have beaten them and driven them out.

Dhan so tayraa thaan hai sach tayraa paisakaari-aa
Blessed is Your realm, and True is Your magnificent glory.

Naanak too lehanaa toohai gur amar too veechaari-aa
You are Nanak, You are Angad, and You are Amar Daas;

Gur dithaa taa man saadhaari-aa
When I recognize You, my soul is comforted.
